Directory of Mozart Articles
(Note: Important! Please read: Despite inclusion of this page, I greatly and sadly apologise if links are made unavailable. It is unfortunate that Suite.IO (previously Suite101.Com) has for many months and until now has made the website unavailable where all these articles I have written and published. For all these recent months, I've tried to reconstruct some of these articles or have written brief biographies here at my homepage. Updates will continue as time allows. Thank you interested friends, colleagues and other visitors for your patience and understanding. Thank you. / Tel, August 1, 2016.)The links in this page make way in discovering and learning the life and times of Wolfgang Mozart for those who want to know more about him. Mozart is arguably the greatest composer that ever lived. At the age of only 35, he composed numerous articles in practically all kinds of classical genres that no other composer has done: from operas to sacred music, to orchestral and chamber music, and more.
It is not known what the exact number of his works total. From the works that have been found/published, nearly 1000 works have been recorded. 626 of these were cataloged and compiled by Ludwig von Koechel (K1 - K626). They are listed and numbered chronologically. The original numberings run from K. 1 to K. 626, but revised numbers assigned to some pieces reflect newer information about the chronology of Mozart's music. We should keep in mind that these compositions are only those published, and may not reflect the fact the Wolfgang Mozart started composing from the age of 5.
